How do the specifications of LED stadium lights compare to those of metal-halide lamps?

Luminous Efficacy: LED is 130–180 lm/W; metal-halide is 65–100 lm/W.

System Power: To achieve the same illuminance, the installed power for LEDs is approximately 50%–70% of that required for metal-halide lamps. For example, for an area requiring 400,000 lumens, metal-halide lamps would need about 5,000W (assuming 80 lm/W), whereas LEDs would need only about 3,000W (assuming 133 lm/W).

Lifespan (L70): LED is 50,000–100,000 hours; metal-halide is 10,000–20,000 hours.

Annual Lamp Replacements: Zero for LED; approximately once for metal-halide (based on 4–5 hours of daily use).
