How often should LED high-bay lights be cleaned?

The cleaning frequency depends on the workshop environment: Clean environments (electronics assembly, laboratories): Clean every 6–12 months.

General industrial workshops (machining, assembly): Clean every 3–6 months.

High-dust environments (cement, animal feed, casting): Clean monthly.

Oily environments (kitchens, spray painting): Clean every 2 weeks using a degreaser.

Textile and paper manufacturing (lint/fiber accumulation): Remove lint every 1–2 weeks to prevent clogging the heat sink. Cleaning method: After disconnecting the power, remove surface dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner; for oily residue, wipe with a neutral detergent and a soft cloth, ensuring no water enters the fixture. Do not use high-pressure water jets for direct washing (unless the fixture is rated IP66 or higher).

After cleaning, inspect the sealing gasket and replace it promptly if damaged. If illuminance measurements show an increase of more than 10% compared to pre-cleaning levels, the cleaning interval should be shortened.
