Where are LED floodlights used?

Thanks to their high luminous efficacy, long lifespan, and flexible light distribution, LED floodlights have a wide range of applications. Key use cases include:

1.  Architectural Facade Lighting: Wall washing, outlining contours, and illuminating columns or reliefs. Narrow- or medium-beam floodlights are typically used, mounted at the base or top of the building to cast light upwards or downwards.

2.  Landscape and Garden Lighting: Illuminating trees, sculptures, flowerbeds, and water features. Ground-spike floodlights are often used, with warm white light creating a cozy atmosphere.

3.  Plaza and Parking Lot Lighting: Providing uniform illumination over large areas. Medium- to wide-beam floodlights are commonly mounted on poles at heights of 6 to 12 meters.

4.  Sports Venue Lighting: Facilities such as soccer fields, tennis courts, and basketball courts require high illuminance and flicker-free light. High-power (200W–1500W) narrow-beam floodlights with precise light distribution are used.

5.  Factory and Warehouse Lighting: Replacing traditional high-bay lights to provide a bright working environment. These are generally roof-mounted or suspended at heights of 6 to 15 meters.

6.  Road and Tunnel Lighting: Serving as a supplement to streetlights or providing additional illumination inside tunnels. Anti-glare properties and high luminous efficacy are required.

7.  Billboard and Signage Lighting: Illuminating billboards from the bottom or top; uniform, shadow-free lighting is required.

8.  Temporary Events and Emergency Lighting: Used for concerts, construction sites, and emergency response operations, typically employing portable floodlights on tripods.

9.  Security and Surveillance Fill Lighting: Paired with cameras to provide white light at night, ensuring clear video footage.

10. Agricultural Lighting: Used in plant factories and greenhouses, where LED floodlights with specific spectral outputs promote photosynthesis. In short, LED floodlights can be found almost anywhere lighting is needed.
